This is a PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT regarding 1st Day of Ramadan 1441 AH (2020).

All praise be to Allah SWT, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful.

In conjunction with the announcement made by his eminence Dr. Ibrahim Abu Mohamad (The Grand Mufti of Australia) Board of Imams Victoria is pleased to declare that the First day of Ramadan 1441H will be on

Friday 24th April 2020 Insha’Allah.

BOIV President Sheikh Isse Abdo Musse and member Imams send their warmest Ramadan greetings to all Muslims in Victoria and all over Australia.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions and social distancing requirements currently in place, we strongly urge the community to perform ‘Taraweeh’ prayer at home individually or in congregation with immediate family members.
