EID AL FITR & 1st Day of Shawwal – 1447AH (2026)
All praise to Allah SWT the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate
In conjunction with the announcement made by Grand Mufti of Australia, his eminence Dr. Ibrahim Abu Mohamad, the Board of Imams Victoria (BOIV) is pleased to declare that the first day of Shawwal 1447 AH will be on Friday 20th March 2026 Insha Allah.
BOIV President Sheikh Abdirahman MAGAN and member Imams send their warmest Eid al Fitr greetings to all Muslims in Victoria and all over Australia.
Please contact the Imam at your local Masjid / Musalla to confirm Eid al Fitr prayer arrangements.
